The Wide Open Road
Beauty
The Wide Open Road is back in a new timeslot and a new venue. This week our Saturday afternoon literary Cabaret investigates the theme of Beauty!

Adelaide audiences can be part of the live action from 5pm at Venue 63 on Light Square when our metaphysical private eye, Tony Collins, probes the history of art and literature in search of Beauty. He's joined by Adelaide author Lynette Washington who edited the short story anthology Breaking Beauty and from Semaphore, the cat-loving barista Katherine Arguile who, when she's not pouring coffee, writes about suffering for beauty in a world of human frailty. As always, providing an emotional armchair for the ride through this complex narrative, we have the wonderful chanteuse, Alison Coppe and The Wide Open Road House Band featuring Dave Mazzarelli and Aaron Nash.
Directed by Carmel Young and broadcast live on Radio Adelaide Digital, Online and 101.5FM, this show will lead you to the Great Beauty that lies deep within. Tune in at 5.30pm or for $5 you can join us at Venue 63 on Light Square near the Colonel Light Hotel. The Wide Open Road is supported by Arts SA, the University of Adelaide and the South Australian Writers Centre.
