Carmel Young

Tony Collins
Carmel is an experienced broadcaster, actor and director. She is a documentary producer, marketing manager and an international arts project manager. She was Program Director at ABC Local Radio in Darwin and Brisbane before heading to Arnhem Land to work in Aboriginal Art. She has a Master of Management in Arts and Cultural Management and regularly tours art projects to China and Korea. She has staged successful cross-cultural exhibitions in Shanghai and Adelaide and managed artist exchange programs with China and Korea.
Carmel specialises in event management and has lectured in Foundations of Event Management at the University of South Australia. She has held management positions at Darwin Festival, Yarnballa Festival and the Spirit Festival and organised conferences, exhibitions and art fairs for a range of clients.
Tony is a journalist and documentary maker by trade with over 20 years experience at ABC Radio and Television. He also has a strong background in arts project management and community development projects. He is a published author, a music producer, university lecturer, media and marketing manager, conference organiser and consultant.
Tony has expertise in project management from conception through financing to event management, evaluation, reporting and acquittal. He is a skilled video editor and sound producer and has years of experience in design and production of marketing materials. He has lived and worked in Europe and some of the most remote parts of Australia.
