What do we mean when we shout 'Climate Action Now!'

Many of us joined the rallies around the country last Friday to shout down the propagandists of Scott Morrison's neo-fascist regime. While he was drawing up a strategy to give the armed forces the ability to declare Marshall Law in any jurisdiction they see fit, for any reason they might decide, we were on the street yelling in opposition to this train-wreck of democracy.

The phrase 'Climate Action Now' appeared on many placards, banners and in chants shouted by tens of thousands of us in every city. The message of the Australian people is clear. Now we need to spell out what that means, exactly. What we want, exactly. So let's think about that between now and the next time we go out on the street (next Friday!) and start spelling out what the solution looks like, exactly.

And guess what? It's not rocket science, as Professor Naomi Oreskes from Harvard University explained when she was in Adelaide for Womad's Earth Talks a couple of years ago.
